pink, err, silver lining!

ak blew his knee out and isn't allowed to "real" ski for a month, i'm not sure how, i assume it's from being so old! though, i've found the silver lining: he finally has the time to teach me to ski. yeah, after 31 years i'm finally going to make an attempt to enjoy something about the winter besides sundance. i've never learned because i hate being cold, but i found there's something i hate even more than the cold...being left out! i'm sick of my brothers having ski days and not inviting me.

Wow! Good for you. I hope all goes well, although I would sooner let KK teach you than AK. And you need to make sure you get boots with heaters in them. A must for the cold intolerant. And if you like it, you could probably but pink everything! As far as knees go, there are very few skiers I know who haven't had a knee injury, old or not, but he is old!

This is very unexpected. I'm impressed, it's about time if you grew up here and don't ski or board. Being cold isn't a valid excuse. There's plenty of warm gear out there nowadays. What resort will this teaching take place? I'd like to keep my eyes peeled for the lovely pink clad Sarah. If you need lift passes I'm sure quite a few of your readers (including myself) have connections at a number of resorts.

It's about damn time Miss Bellum. Given your pink fascination you should have learned the minute they started making pink puffers.

Dear Ms. Bellum--

As the man said, Awoo.

See you on the hill Feb. 3/4.

For what it's worth, I recommend snowboarding. I'm not against skiing. I can do both. I just think riding is a lot more fun.

It's funny, I was just explaining to my boyfriend that many native Utahnians don't ski.

Anywho, you will love it. Though I did most of my skiing at Snowbird, I like Deer Valley because they carry my skis for me. Also, stay off the bumps, because I know you would not want to get the dreaded Bump Butt. Oh, and as a member of the media, you can probably score free passes at the different resorts. Call the marketing/p.r. departments before you go, and they'll tell you what you need to do. Have fun!

I can't believe you've never been skiing.
