the smell of cheap bar soap, or the day i didn't die at trolley square...

if i don't smell like warm vanilla sugar tomorrow you'll have to forgive me. you see, i ran out of shower gel and lotion this morning and when i stopped by trolley square tonight to pick some up, the only thing i picked up was the feeling of terror. i parked and started to walk into the mall when i was nearly crushed by hordes of people running out.

i'm home safe on my couch and realize my karma isn't nearly as horrible as i thought.

Why the exodus? Was anybody hurt?

I'm glad you're okay Sarah. What a terrible night in Salt Lake City.

That's incredibly freaky.

I'm glad you're okay. I'm a news junkie and my adrenaline starts pumping when I hear about things like that. Yet I got home, saw it on the internet, and got a sick feeling. Again...glad you're okay.

Ok. My God - this is horrid. Got more of the details late last night and this morning. They say it was just an 18 year old kid they think did this? Very glad you are safe!

I'm glad you're OK, bellum. That would've been a terrible ending to your day. (Not that it wasn't terrible for all those people, I'm not that callous.)

An observation here: why is it that those that feel so compelled to enforce their 2nd amendment rights are never the ones that actually use their [concealed] weapons to stop something like this? Isn't that one of the very reasons overquoted by gun lobby as to why they should be allowed to have guns in the 1st place? When was the last time a private citizen packing heat actually stopped a situation like this?

Maybe the beer and ice cream fairies will bring you shower gel and lotion too...

Who are these fairies and are they safe or creepy fairies?

I'm glad that you are alright. I had no cause to worry about you, since I was getting your texts.
I left just some time before the gunman showed up. A couple friends of mine were up in the Brewery and took cover under the tables.
It has been a very intense and surreal moment.

So glad you took your time getting to the place. Such a senseless crime. Glad the police got after the shooter quickly to stop the killing. My heart goes out to the victims and their families.

One of my co-workers just asked me if I've ever been to Trolley Square...which I hadn't till we met up in December. I am so glad you're okay and extremely relieved you were not there just a few minutes earlier.
