winter bitchfest '06 begins:
typically i wait until december to start whining about the cold, however, we're only a day away, and unlike annie i have nothing to sing about--even if i could sing, which i can't, my pipes would be frozen, and there's nothing worse than frozen pipes. pmk's car thermometer showed -7 this morning in park city, while it wasn't that cold here, it was certainly cold. i need to keep reminding myself there are a few benefits to winter: christmas presents and those little miniature oranges. that's really the only positives i can muster at the moment.

I just wanted to note that it is currently 69 degrees in Washington right now. Sunny skies as well. Just sayin.
It's cute how everyone has their own weather perspectives. I just commented on hjustin's winter tirade.
On one level I'm happy I'm not the only one who has whined about the cold.
On another I want throw southwest Montana's -25 degree weather in all your faces. Not that I'm bitter.
Forget the cold. Look at the trip odemeter: 311.7. Now look at the gas tank: 1/2 full. 600+ miles per tank, 45 mpg!
I threw a few cuss words at my car this morning. It was 11:00 and I was scraping the windows. ERGH!
Units people! thanks to pmk for using units (mpg). (-7 degrees F) oh, and i hate the cold too.
I'm going to be in SLC next week, and I was really hoping for some daytime temps in the 40's, Today, I'm enjoying (?) a rainy and humid Miami day. It's a little on the cool side, with a daytime high of 82.
I recall those Utah winters and I also recall that's why I left the state for a warmer climate.
Good God girl, that sounds miserable. Move here to SoCal. It's a nice day everyday! You can stay with me anytime, baby.
Was I singing? You can come to San Diego and sing on my porch whenever you like. I'll make margaritas.
i hit my car's external temperature gauge the first thing this morning. it started off being at 42F in my garage. by the time i had reached the end of the street, it had dropped to 25F, and bottomed out around 9F. yuck.
Sarah--
Skiing, dear. We hardcvore skiers like winter BEST. You live within view of the Wasatch Front, for goodness sakes! And you can wear pink skis, pink boots, a pink parka, pink gloves, pink poles, pink goggles and a pink hat. Stay with black for your pants, though.
Helpfully yours,
Mikeymikemike
