Museum Fortunes
A "friend" took me to see the Cinderella exhibit at the UMFA last week. I thought it was a brilliant idea: taking a princess to see a princess. Hello, brownie points!
The exhibit wasn't exactly what either one of us expected. It was geared towards children. He swears up and down it wasn't an intentional jab. I did see this little gem which made it worth the trip:
This is way better than a silly fortune cookie. I'm going to take this as a promise that a man will fall in love with me AND my shoes, despite our messy state. And if all princes are indeed clueless is that why I don't have one yet?

Cooking in Style!
I always find the best shopping finds when I go with my Aimee. Today was no different.
I've never had an interest in learning to cook. In fact, I've built a life around the avoidance of being barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen. Yet, in one day my entire belief system has changed! I found this pan and suddenly I want to know how to use it.
The barefoot and pregnant thing is going to have to wait. I like shoes too much to give them up just yet.

"Men I don't know. Shoes, I know."
I want a life coach. Scratch that. I need a life coach! I cannot be trusted to make my own decisions anymore, especially when it comes to men in my life. The good ones I manage to walk away from. The ones who are bad for me I keep around. Not anymore. I'm giving that up for Lent. Because now I totally get Lent. Wikipedia knows everything--way more than that stupid Dex guy in the phonebook commercials.
I can pick out an excellent pair of shoes (i.e. my new camouflage ballet flats), but I can't pick a man to save my life. Not that I'm comparing men to shoes. Shoes, for me, last longer. I still have (and wear) my first pair of Cons. Yes, I own the same shoes I did in high school. I'm cool like that.
I'm serious about this life coach thing. Therapists are so last year...
