yet another child left behind

i was in desperate need of some girl time saturday, so i met a couple gal pals for a trip to consumer hell (read:fashion place mall). leigh brought her roomie chacyne, possibly the worlds stupidest person. we were discussing guys we're currently dating and their professions. i mentioned that politico was, well...obviously in the political field--hence the name. she immediately asked what politics entail. after i picked my jaw from the floor, i explained what working in the political field was...well i tried and i could see it was going over her head. so, i just mentioned they are people who work in "like" government like the president and his administration, her eyes widened and she said, "YOU'RE LIKE DATING THE PRESIDENT"? i counted to ten (to avoid killing her) and mentioned he worked in local politics. i then explained politicians were the people who made the laws she (supposedly) followed. her response? "oh, i thought that was volunteer work".

hmmm...i guess you could look at it that way.

I know several of the dumbest people in the world. We should get together and write a book. Well you could write it since you're a famous columnist and all. Maybe I can do a special TV report.

Poor little girl, please tell me she was either twelve or pretty enough to get away with such stupidity.

Now that the Missionary Emporium has moved out, The only redeeming quality of Fashion Place Mall would be Hot Dog on a Stick. I guess this would be the only redeeming quality of any of the malls in Utah.

I nearly fell out of my chair laughing on this. The minute I started reading your blog I knew you were someone, I just didn't know you were THE someone. Dating the President is an accomplishment, not a good one, but an accomplishment all the same.

How does someone not know the President? That is sad, this is the youth of America.

oh my lord. that's insane. almost remind me of the guy who pointed at the Capitol recently and told his son that's where the president lives. sometimes it's not worth even trying to explain things.

Sadly I was a first-hand witness to this overwhelming wave of stupidity...we need to tell Leigh that her portion of the wedding is off if she continues to associate with 19 yr. old girls who don't even know the President...waht a wonderful mother she's going to be to that poor child! XOXO*
